An Eventful 2024 Leads to an Exciting 2025
It’s been an exciting and eventful year for Clever Offsets. We’ve had two rounds of funding, hired six team members, launched our premium product, and closed the first sales contracts for Clever.
We paid close attention to the shift in quality information being the desired tool for stakeholders in the carbon markets and spent the first half of 2024 refining and expanding the capabilities of our platform to ensure we were truly solving our users’ pain points.With an exceptional product ready to be delivered, we used the second half of this year to focus on sales and marketing with a recent string of successes giving us one more reason to celebrate this holiday season.

Dynamic Addition of New Projects
To ensure that our platform is the most comprehensive and current source of information on the market our team adds an estimated 1,000 new projects to Clever every month. This allows our clients can make a confident apples-to-apples comparison before making business decisions.
TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Three years ago, Rick was a maritime lawyer in New York City and Senior Executive for one of the top marine insurers in the world. The majority of his day was dedicated to making 7-figure decisions while managing litigation and responding to collisions and oil spills. Honed in that mature market, these skills combined with his interest for proactive ways to combat climate change led him to discover the impact, intricacies, and more importantly the inefficiencies of the carbon markets. Recognizing that inaccessible, fragmented, and inaccurate data was the main hindrance to getting projects funded and built, he and his business partner spent a year and a half researching and building the foundations of their carbon markets data platform. Then in August 2023, he was accepted into the Techstars program where he received his first injection of capital and invaluable guidance. Rick decided that the best way to deploy that capital was to hire a data manager to professionalize and scale data acquisition and to get people using the platform to ensure its development would be directly tied to user feedback. A year and a half later, with two more rounds of funding and a sleek premium product now available to clients, Rick leads a team of eight who all work to develop, refine, and promote Clever Offsets as the gold standard data solution for the carbon markets.
